Hi, I'm Jaya Ramchandani. I design learning experiences that enable personal, social, and systems change. My work is rooted in the belief that for our futures to be just and regenerative, we must move from being passengers to becoming drivers of the systems we inhabit. For that, we need new models of participatory governance and decision-making—and new models of learning. After a Masters in Astrophysics, I co-pioneered India’s first interdisciplinary learning festival, The Story of Light, as an experiment in collective learning and the public communication of science. To better understand the mechanics of the wider education sector, I transitioned into formal education, from teaching IB Physics at the United Nations International School in New York to co-designing the Systems Transformation Pathway at UWC Atlantic College in Wales. Today, I consult with civil society and educational institutions to translate values of justice, pluriversality, interdependence, and reciprocity into strategic designs, professional development, and coaching programs that empower learners to lead.
